Per IRS Notice 1036 the amount to withhold from payroll checks for U.S. Federal Income Tax has changed effective immediately. The changes also affect the Earned Income Tax Credit. The IRS asks employers to begin using these tables as soon as possible but no later than April 1, 2009.
